The Ogawa Active and the Osaki OS-Pro Maxim have their fair share of similarities and differences. In this comparison we will cover the different aspects of each chair. We hope to make your massage chair buying experience as easy as possible.

Similarities

Both chairs feature zero gravity, heat, body scanning, stretching options and body compressing airbag systems. They also both feature multiple levels of speed and intensity adjustment. Both chairs have features in the footrest to accommodate many different heights.

Massage Track

Ogawa has managed to take the best aspects of both the L-track and the S-track and combine them into one 43” Supertrac. The result is a massage that will run from your neck all the way down to your upper thigh. The uniform pressure is provided throughout the length of the track. The Maxim features a 47” SL-Track that is very similar to the Supertrac in that it goes from neck to upper thigh.

Remote

The Maxim use a large remote with a screen that is just as big. The touchscreen will give you full control of your massage experience. You will be able to visually see the options that you can select. The remote on the Ogawa Active is designed to fit easily and comfortable in your hand. The LCD display make it easy to view things, such as where the massage rollers are located in their cycle, which airbags are currently in use, and what programs are being used. There is a clear size difference between these two remotes.

 Air Compression Massage

36 Airbags are used in the Maxim to create a compression massage system all over the chair. Osaki has manage to decrease the amount of airbags in the massage chair, meanwhile making them larger, so that they cover more surface. The Active has 56 airbags that can be found in the shoulder, arms, hands, legs and feet. The numbers are vastly different in the airbag count on these two chairs, but the size of the airbags is what plays a part. The total body coverage of each chair is fairly similar.

Color Options

The Osaki OS-Pro Maxim comes in three color options of black, brown and cream. The Ogawa Active comes in 4 different color options that fall into a very neutral category. The colors are black, cherry, chocolate and graphite.

Both chairs are going to give you a really good massage. The Maxim has a few more features than the Active. Osaki has packed a lot of technological features into the Maxim. In this comparison we focused on the features that are unique to the individual chair and similar between the two chairs.
